Job Summary

As a Quality Engineer at Airtel, you'll be responsible for the entire quality assurance lifecycle of our products and services. You'll work independently and collaboratively to design, develop, and execute test plans that ensure functionality, performance, usability, and security across all platforms. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of testing, including:

Functional Testing: Designing and executing test cases to verify that our products and services meet all functional requirements.
Non-Functional Testing: Evaluating performance, scalability, usability, and security aspects of our offerings.
Automation Testing: Developing and implementing automated test scripts to improve efficiency and test coverage.
Defect Management: Identifying, reporting, and tracking defects throughout the development lifecycle.
Root Cause Analysis: Investigating the root cause of defects and collaborating with developers to resolve them effectively.
Test Data Management: Creating and managing test data to facilitate comprehensive testing.
Staying updated with the latest testing methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in requirement gathering sessions to understand product functionalities.
Design and develop comprehensive test plans covering all functionalities.
Create and maintain test cases using manual and automation frameworks.
Execute test plans effectively and identify defects efficiently.
Document defects clearly and concisely, including detailed steps to reproduce the issue.
Collaborate with developers to diagnose and resolve defects efficiently.
Participate in code reviews to identify potential quality issues early on.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and tools.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in quality assurance practices and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Experience in designing and executing test plans for web, mobile, or backend applications.
Proficiency in writing test cases using manual and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Experience Level: Fresher or Experienced
