The Position

Bharti Airtel is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of our telecommunications infrastructure.

Job Summary

• Participate in the design and development of telecom towers, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate feasibility and identify potential challenges.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation related to tower projects.
• Work collaboratively with vendors and contractors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Conduct inspections of existing towers to identify any maintenance needs and recommend solutions.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to optimize tower performance and longevity.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in mechanical engineering technologies relevant to the telecom industry.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures related to tower management.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze structural loads and design tower components to meet specific requirements.
• Perform calculations to ensure tower stability under various environmental conditions.
• Select appropriate materials and equipment for tower construction and maintenance.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to tower infrastructure and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of all project activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant engineering role (for experienced candidates).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, and material science.
• Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• A valid passport for international travel (may be required).

Experience

This role is open to both experienced Mechanical Engineers and recent graduates. For experienced candidates, a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience is preferred. However, we are also eager to hear from talented recent graduates who are passionate about engineering and eager to learn.
