Job Overview:

Airtel is seeking a strategic and driven Area Sales Manager to lead and manage sales operations within a designated area. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and managing a team of sales professionals. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the sales process, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets for the assigned area.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales executives to ensure high performance and achievement of sales goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with promotional campaigns and product offerings.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions for the sales team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts related to sales and customer service in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role. Experience in telecom or related industries is advantageous.
  • Skills Required:
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a sales team.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze market data and make informed decisions.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented approach.
